Partnering CHEF IGNACIO BERNAl
Chef Ignacio Bernal knew from a young age he had an intense passion for food. He recalls his mother Alejandrina saying, “Nature is abundant, it takes care of us by providing the gift of food.” Chef Bernal’s mother inspired him to always seek out the freshest ingredients in order to express his love for the culinary arts through each one of his dishes.
In 2012, Bernal began training under Chef Todd Misner at Stinky’s Fish Camp. Under Misner’s mentorship, Bernal’s skills and cooking techniques skyrocketed to a new level. It was at Stinky’s Fish Camp that Chef Bernal was promoted to sous chef as he continued to fine tune his skills and continued to grow under Misner’s leadership.
In 2018, Chef Ignacio joined the Vin’tij family and began advancing his knowledge of wine and food pairing. It wasn’t long before Todd realized Ignacio was the perfect fit to fulfill the position of Chef de Cuisine. Since Ignacio has joined the Vin’tij family he has continuously strived to diversify the Vin’tij menu with unique dishes to compliment our expansive wine list. In addition, Chef Ignacio has brought in many local farmers and food purveyors along the Gulf Coast in order to ensure Vin’tij offers the freshest seafood and produce. We are proud to have Ignacio as a member of our Vin’tij family and because of his dedication and work ethic, Chef Ignacio is now our partnering Chef.
