As Vin’tij approached its 20-year anniversary, owner operator, Todd Reber decided to expand the Vin’tij concept by moving Vin’tij into a new location at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin. This new location would allow the Vin’tij team to offer a complete restaurant concept that would serve not only lunch and dinner but also a new, diverse, breakfast menu that would also feature healthy, cold pressed juices.
Vin’tij Food & Wine is focused on providing a memorable dining and shopping experience. We offer clean, high quality food designed to complement wine in an eclectic, unpretentious and comfortable dining environment. With large community tables and a semi private dining room that can be rented for special events, the new Vin’tij Food & Wine concept, located in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin is destined to be the talk of town.
Todd, who is often called the “wine guru,” has a fierce passion for food, wine and people. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, and has an expansive foundation in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Todd has worked in some of the most acclaimed restaurants along the Emerald Coast since 1990, until he finally decided to open his own restaurant - Vin’tij Food & Wine - in 1998.
Throughout the years of operating Vin’tij, Todd has developed relationships with wine makers, purveyors and sommeliers throughout the world. He has furthered his education by attending some of the most sought after wine educational events in California, Oregon, Germany and Spain. Todd’s commitment to learning, and always exploring new styles of wine and food along with his magnetic personality are what keep Vintij Food & Wine fresh, creative, friendly and educational.
Chef Steven Vanderpool:
Chef Steven Vanderpool graduated at the top of his class in 1994 from the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. He has been a Chef at the highly-acclaimed Brennen’s Family Palace Cafe in New Orleans and in Houston he was the chef at the well-known Brenner’s on the Bayou, Strip House and the Sake Lounge. He has been touted as a rising Chef and one to keep our eyes on in in a variety of magazines such as Florida Trend, Restaurant Hospitality, Esquire, Gourmet Magazine, Coastal Home, Delta Sky and Southern Bride.
Chef Steven moved to Destin when he was offered an executive chef position at the original Cuvee Beach that opened in 1999. After Cuvee Beach was sold, Chef Steven returned to Texas where he worked as a consultant for a variety of different restaurant concepts for people who were needing help with restaurant design, menu development and hiring and training. Chef Steven’s food is dynamic and thoughtfully prepared, often accentuating his favorite influences of Asian and European flavors into his American cuisine. He is also very passionate about combining unusual flavors and pairing them with a complimentary wine. As Chef Steven says, “My food is cooked from the heart, but with wine in mind.”
